What to Expect
During your dog’s stay, they will:
Receive multiple training sessions per day. Training sessions will be tailored to your individual dog and your goals.
Go on field trips, training excursions, playdates (if appropriate) and other adventures. These will provide unique training opportunities and fun experiences for your dog.
You can expect to receive:
Photo, video, and written updates. We know how hard it is to be away from your four-legged companion. Frequent updates on their progress and what they’ve been up to will help!
A written training plan upon pickup. Your dog’s training plan will be refined throughout their stay and a final copy will be given to you. It will include recommendations and exercises to do when they go home.
Follow up lessons. For each week of stay, a complimentary hand-off session is included to teach you how to keep up with your dog’s training. Past that, you are welcome to schedule additional lessons with me either virtually or in-person. Transition of skills is just as important as the initial learning!
Requirements for Boarding
Boarding dogs must be:
Up to date on vaccinations. DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella are required for stay. Canine influenza is highly recommended.
Comfortable crating without separation distress or anxiety. For safety, boarding dogs stay in crates when they are not being directly supervised. This ensures that they have adequate decompression time between training and play, as well as keeps them and the other residents of the home safe and secure.
Human and dog neutral or social. Your dog does not need to enjoy the direct company of other dogs to fit in well in our home. However, the sight and sounds of other dogs is inevitable, and dogs who find this or new people stressful may not be a good fit.
Able to complete an acclimation stay prior to their boarding dates. To ensure your dog is a good fit, we schedule acclimation stays for all new boarding dogs. This is one overnight stay and helps confirm that your dog will be comfortable in our accommodations and that we will be able to meet your needs. Successful acclimation stay costs can be put towards the deposit for your stay.
“I have trusted Alyse with my dog, Lychee, multiple times, and each experience has been wonderful. Lychee always has a great time and learns so much. Alyse is not only professional but also is super kind and you can tell she genuinely cares about each dog she works with. Her expertise and dedication are evident in the way she handles and trains the dogs. I highly recommend Alyse to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate dog trainer or if you're looking for boarding.”
